When we were asked to validate costs for an accidentally damaged ride-on lawn mower, we learned that the lawnmower’s incumbent supplier had already provided a quote for repairs costing over £19,000 - not including VAT.

While we were simply asked to validate the quote, we believe in going above and beyond for our clients - which is why our engineers chose to attend the site to perform an inspection of their own on the damaged lawn mower. Our second opinion became instrumental in lowering the eventual new quote.

Because the policyholder strongly wished to resolve the claim within the original supply chain, we returned to the incumbent supplier to negotiate costs, armed with our own qualified inspection and second opinion. Through our negotiations, we were able to lower repair costs to just over £13,000, including VAT - a saving of over 48%.
